Building Convolvulus to the level it has reached at the launch of the first major revision of the paysite has cost money.
Models have to be paid. Studios etc. have to be hired. Cameras and lighting kit have to be bought. Good rope isn’t cheap. I won’t go on, although I could.
We can’t carry on funding it for ever. We have to recover most - preferably all - of the outlay so far, then produce a cash flow that will let us go on producing material of at least the same quality. Hopefully better.
We didn’t rush into the paysite stage for several reasons. We wanted the word about Convolvulus to start spreading through the right bits of the bondage community. That’s happening. We wanted to have a big enough stock of material to run the site for a couple of years. We’ve got it. We wanted to build up a good reputation in the model community for a professional approach and a fair attitude to payment. We believe we have that.
Now all we need is your subscriptions. Your support, expressed through buying tickets for long or short term membership, is the only thing that will keep us going.
People will not join the site if they can easily find our images and videos elsewhere. Of course there will be some “leakage” of our material into some corners of the net. It happens to every site, and it will happen to us. As long as the stolen material carries the Convolvulus watermark, it may have some benefit as free advertising. Without that, there is no positive side at all.
Sending our material anywhere - to a newsgroup, to a Yahoo group, to any kind of picture or video-sharing site, even to your best friend - is a breach of copyright and an act of theft. Please do not do it. We will do our best to track these thefts down, get the stolen material removed, and get compensation for the damage.
Of course you might be tempted to send a few of our images to a trustworthy friend, saying “I’ve found this really great bondage site, here’s a couple of pics, keep them to yourself, and why don’t you join?” Well, if that really is as far as it goes, we’ll gain a member and we’ll never know about the rest.... Can’t honestly say I’ve never done it.
In the end, it’s up to you. If you want Convolvulus to continue, you’ll help us by respecting our copyright and by trying to increase our membership. If you don’t do those things, you’ll be working to stop us making more of the material you want to see.
It’s up to you.
